The property consists of two titles. There is the option of only purchasing one of the two. Lot 1 has the cabin and is 9.4 acres at $250,000 US. Lot 2 has the pole barn and is 10 acres at $130,000 US separately. Birchdale Way is a public access from the North Bay. It was previously known as McIntire Road. Deep Water Aluminium Boat and moorage at North Bay included with entire property purchase at $360,000 US or equivalent Canadian, Euro, Bitcoin, Etherium or other crypto currency considered.
A simple open design timber frame with oak and tile flooring, a Heartland Sweetheart Wood Cookstove with basic kitchen including a small efficient Sunfrost fridge. The cabin is solar powered with four BP 90 watt panels and has efficient 12 volt LED lighting. There is a small barn also on the property. The cabin has running water via a summer line from Small Fry Creek. Water licence and park permits are in place for this. There is no washroom or septic but there is a quaint older outhouse up behind the cabin.
Birchdale is a boat access community just south of Johnson’s Landing at the North end of Kootenay Lake. There are a limited number of properties here as the Purcell Wilderness Park surrounds the community.
This is a perfect get away for someone wanting to enjoy privacy and have access to pristine wilderness. See website link for parks trails: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/purcell/fry_creek_trail_brochure.pdf
As a result of having the Purcell Wilderness park surround Birchdale there will never be a road into this community. If wanting absolute privacy and pristine wilderness this is an amazing place.
